A few months ago I had a dream - I was running as a candidate for Mayor of LA. Since then, I have been reflecting on the significance of this possibility. I have decided to accept the journey and dedicate the next two and a half years of my life to the call. I am accepting this call not only because I love LA and seek to commit myself to bringing people together to build a city which can be an exemplary beacon of light on the planet, but also because I am aware that at this time individuals everywhere are being called to stand up as a true and authentic voice for a community of people who are ready for a more mature and joint way of creating the change they want to see. I accept this without attachment to outcome, but with honor to do my part in lifting the wave of this change.
I am really excited to have become clear about the road ahead and I am extremly grateful to be part of a community that understands that we are indeed the ones who we've been waiting for. I would have never guessed that this was going to be part of my journey, however, I realize that while major shifts are happening in every arena, I now know that a positive shift in community politics has already begun.
