TED - Artist Chris Jordan shows us an arresting view of what Western culture looks like. His supersized images picture some almost unimaginable statistics -- like the astonishing number of paper cups we use every single day
“Hola citizens of the interweb!” Ashton Kutcher is at it again, twittering away for his many (over a million!) followers. He has already raised cash for the fight against malaria and this time the Twitter king is starting a campaign to help fight hunger.
Ashton says an anonymous corporation will donate $10 million to FeedingAmerica.org to fight hunger here in the US—he reminds us that 1 in 8 Americans will struggle to eat today. In return for the donation, the corps wants Ashton to organize a following and make some noise around this issue.
So here’s the deal: Ashton wants people to submit videos declaring an end to hunger and then eating something. He plans on collecting the submissions and editing them together to create a big food flick for the cause.
