I took papa to Kaiser the other day for a check-up, this time with his Cardiologist. While sitting around in the waiting room, I was lucky enough to read an extremely inspiring interview with a disciplined mega-star named James Caviezel by Calabasas magazine. It's really ironic beacause I just saw him in the movie The Stoning of Zoraya M, co-starring my second-cousin, Mozan Marno.
From the interview in 2006, Calabasas Mag describes Caviezel as having "Hollywood looks and gravitas also an inner screwball just itching to be uncorked." Not much is known about the star actor who beautifully played Jesus in Mel Gibson's The Passion, which is pretty cool, because he's purposely kept a low profile and hence a quite simple life for accomplishing what he has.
Jim states, "The better you do in this business, the more they want to give you, but don't be tempted. You've got to keep your routines. You've got to keep that simple life and hold onto that."
The article is rich with insight from a genuine man who is dedicated to his wife, family, God and Way. He explains, "I think God is in Hollywood, and I think people want that, at least the ones I work with, and they want God."
Growing up in LA, I always felt that Hollywood could improve at broadcasting the fruits of what we call God. What are those? How about unconditional love, loyalty, hope, faith, service, fidelity, health, consciousness, sincerity and genuinity for starters. And I believe the media is beginning to pay attention to what the people are yearning for and lifting the vibration of their content. Believe me, it's just the beginning and we have a ways to go, but we'll get there. Just think of the impact of an estimated 1 billion people around the globe tuning into Michael Jackson's life celebration, filled with themes of love, healing the world, family, giving back, etc. It was huge! The next day, major newspapers even used the word spiritual to describe the celebration! That's awesome!
Thank you James Caviezel for being so creative, inspiring and disciplined and thank you to everyone doing his/her own part. Love, Love, Love!
