Their Story. In January they met in Los Angeles, California. She was in the restaurant of a hotel, he in the garden, but a very timely rain began to fall and he needed to move near Patty Manterola. He did not know that she was an actress or singer, he just caught her beauty. Patty crossed glances with Forrest Kolb, and after a few minutes of exchange, they began communicating by email, blackberry and Skype.
The internet helped the two communicate and realize several coincidences: She is a devotee of the Virgin of Guadalupe, has an altar in her room, Forrest also has one where he placed among them several images of the Virgin of Guadalupe. She meditates, him too. And both believe in marriage for life.
The couple announced their engagement last May, and at a press conference today announced details of their wedding which will be in the Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen specifically in the Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dec. 12 feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. "We chose that particular day and the chapel as a symbol of a huge thanks to whom we believe brought us together," says Patty.
Unlike other celebrities, this wedding is more intimate and expect 250 guests, including a few famous: Yuri, Jacqueline Bracamontes, Victor and Katya Garibaldi (although others claimed that half had not invited any of his former comrades, now confirmed presence of these two), Juan Soler and Maki, and Monica Sanchez, who is her great friend and will be matron of industry.
Mayan Wedding
Patty wanted to marry in Mexico and decided to show Forrest the wonders of her country in order to convince him. So they traveled to the Riviera Maya, beautiful beaches, archaeological sites and marvelous natural wonders. On July 27, on a tour of a sacred cave, the Mayan guide-shaman led the couple deep into the earth and told them that Mother Earth said she wanted to bless their union right there and then. He held a Mayan ritual that brought them together, an act that delighted the couple and confirm that they were made for each other.
"I am very proud to be Mexican and the beauty that is Mexico, I could not imagine marrying elsewhere, so I took Forrest to the Riviera to fall in love with this paradise and convince his family that this was the place, and I did, now Forrest is not only very fond of me, but also in Mexico and I love it. "
Even with so much love for Mexico, the couple will live in Los Angeles as Kolb aspires to become mayor of Los Angeles in 2013.
